We got an email the other day on o e if our boys that retired and found his perfect home. He is 15 and doing well earned my heart. His name is Cuba and he was a pretty famous show dog on his day but mostly he was just adorable. Another owners dog passed a few months ago called Peter many of you will have him in your pedigree another great show dog national and group winner it his picture on my I'd button. The owners actually brought me some of his ashes because they knew he was one that had my heart thank you owners for making me smile and living what I do every day
OK 7 puppies went to great homes this weekend. I get sad and also want to make sure everything is ok. Could you new owners post some pics or videos and share a bit of how it is going. We would ALL love to see pics
I actually can't walk down my driveway it's a sheet of Ice
Tear Staining: There is a lot I can and will write on this, but first a few facts: Tearing in many Toy Breeds is Natural and WILL happen. A short muzzle, a long coat around the eyes and you are going to have wet tears on the coat. It does not have to be a major problem, if you wipe the eyes down every day and dry them. The permanent stain comes from yeast build up of wet coat, eye goobers that sit on the coat for long periods. Yeast will turn areas red. You will see it around the muzzle from drinking and eating, around the eyes, and if you have a paw licker around the feet. Yes there are many factors but as a general rule. Wash and Dry and you will keep on top of it. I'll go into more detail for solutions on dogs that have permanent stain and what you can do. OK here we have a puppy I had not groomed, so eyes are wet, but they are cleaned daily so no eye goop and no yeast staining, just wet. When the fur is wet it is going to look dark and 100% worse than it is. Pic one: Not groomed and eyes not done today. Pic two: eyes, wiped down and then blown dry; Video is a hack for a quick clean up when you don't have time to wash and dry
Here is a good one, where my head is not in the way. Its long so I'll just send the youtube link
Sorry for the delay on the name the puppy contest. Too many good names. Although still deciding between a couple my two top picks are Whiskey and Merlin And Zorro Whisky suits him for his colouring although finding it hard to find a match for reg name Mylads Drunk and Disorderly not quite right. I love Merlin but would prefer it for a black or black and white so I'll save it for the right puppy. Lots to match with reg name. Zorro love the reg name but again I think for another black and white with face mask. So all 3 I will use at some point. Could those that suggested these names ping me and I'll get the info I need for your customized crate pad. Thanks everyone
This is the American national Havanese specialty in Aug. It's in Washington. If you have never been to a big US dog show they are pretty amazing. I'm going to drive down and maybe spend a day or two on Oregon. It will be very cool to see a whole bunch of Havs. I'll take A couple to show as well. Probably will rent a house as a few friends might come. So if anyone might be going down. Dinner and party at Laurens. It really is quite special

I started a training video. I will get better at camera position but be patient with me. This one is staring Tuxedo as the Star, and its an easy and fun way to teach puppy their name. I recommend it to start with. I'll have these updated on my website but for now will post here. I tagged Diane, as Tux will be her new fur baby so thought she would enjoy this
Received a sad by lovely email from an owner that purchased a puppy from the first girl that we bred. Cheena. Her puppy passed away at 17. I just wanted to shout out to her, she sent a whole history video of their life together, every birthday party, every trip, every exciting and loving moment. This owner did everything right, an apartment owner she figured out how to potty train, was able to come home during the day, and she had day care arrangements as well. You know who you are, I just wanted to recognize your loss, but also let you know you are in our hearts. Your bond was the most special thing to watch, and I truly loved getting your video which celebrated your life together. It is the hardest thing to lose your heart dog, friend, confident, and family member, but the life you gave to your little girl was amazing for her. Thank you for being her owner, and part of our family too. Take care xoxo
Updated puppy pictures on our site. Check out these adorable Mylad Puppies.
Hi, so sorry about the Live Event. I could not get it together and forgot to cancel. I will hold this, just busy here lately. Doug was sick with flu so I was the farm hand, and then we went to Calgary to visit our daughter for a few days. All good now. We have some puppies to show you. We bred three litters this late summer, as we are reducing our breeding programs as we ease into retirement. The three moms have been retired so did their last breedings. Of course they all come into heat at the same time. So we do have some puppies still available, lots of colours and males and females to choose from. I'm driving to deliver 4 next weekend Nov 1,2,3, so please contact us if interested. We don't check facebook all the time so either go to our website and fill out an application, or call or email us for more information myladhav@outlook.com 250 577 3331. I'm posting videos of the three litters but if interested we can send you individuals pictures of what is still available.
So this backfired but a cute pic of new pups in a tub. I had to clean their playpen up and had just washed my floors so put them in the tote for about 10 minutes. Seemed like a time saver but noooo they pooped in it and of course they are packed in so they all needed bathes. Time saver no but cute pic yes
Yes we have puppies we had about 8 cancellations from the US due to their age restrictions so we still have a few. Live webcam as well with q and a at 200pm Pacific time. I'll be sending out link
Puppies, puppies puppies. Just recently born so no pics yet, but contact us if interested for October. However we do have one available now due to several owner cancellations from US due to their new border rules for dogs. Meet Aslan, Named after the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, because he definitely deserves an amazing name. He is very very sweet, but also very playful and active, everything and everyone is of interest. Social and full of life and love. Aslan has had his vet check, his second shots and is used to his crate. Give us a call or email if you are interested in this beautiful boy, he is ready to go home at any time. I am travelling to Calgary next week so could deliver to Alberta if required.
Willow is no longer available, she has found her forever home. I am going to miss this little one a lot. Thanks for all the lovely comments. Meet Willow, a gorgeous white with black markings girl. Willow was the first one gone from the litter but a health issue in the family made it bad timing so she is available to the right home. Willow is a lover through and through, she just loves to be held, played with and is learning how to lead walk. She has a beautiful coat, and I love her markings. If you are interested in Willow call us at 250 577 3331 or email us at myladhav@outlook.com. Willow was born February 6th, 2024 and has received her first two vaccination and is being trained on lead and overnight crate sleeping. She is ready to go home at any time Lauren is travelling to Vancouver next week, so she could be delivered to the lower mainland area, or picked up at our home in Kamloops.
