This is a blog of our sites, and I will include info on finding info that is important to those wishing to educate themselves on havanese, as well as those wishing to own one of these fantastic breed puppies.

Please explore our site for information on us and our breed. I think it is important to state that Mylad Havanese ( MYkensie, LAuren and Doug are not about selling puppies, we are about discovering, at first sight, and now after 18 years in this breed that we grew to love and vowed to protect this exceptional breed. I never entertained a thought about showing, breeding and becoming a member of a National Breed Club until I met the Havanese. My mission is to protect the breed, the standard and the health of this breed that my family have come to love. 18 years later I am now President of the Havanese Fanciers of Canada, the National Breed Club of Havanese in Canada. Throughout my years with this club I have served as Committee Chair of Health, Vice President and Secretary on the executive board. I truly have no time in my life to do this but I do it because dogs have been in my life forever and yet I have never met a breed like the havanese that I feel I need to protect and ensure that the characteristics of this lovely dog continue and are protected. Throughout my years with the National Breed Club I have met many breeders who feel as I do, Let us protect our breed, let us breed the healthiest dogs we can, and let us comply to the Breed Standard of health, temperament, and structure that this breed has and ensure it continues to have .

Well its been quite a while since we had our Mylad Havanese Website up and running. the technology our site was built on no longer exists so it could not be edited. This will be a work in progress and I’ll be updating the site to have all the great content it has had in the past. Stay Tuned for updates
