Monthly Blog -
March 2011
March 6, 2011
Well as you can see by my blog Jan and
Feb did not exist and in a sense they did not for us.
We lost Doug's mom in Feb. It all seemed so fast
which I guess was kindness for her, but still a bit
shocking for us. We miss her very much.
My parents moved to a facility that
specializes in dementia care and after a very very rocky
emotional start things seem to be settling down.
So the weekend trips to both Doug's family and mine have
stopped for awhile and we are getting some time at home.
So March is a new month and I'm back to
posting pictures and being more responsive in my doggie
clubs. I'm also back in the show ring since there
had been very little time for showing. We did
great last weekend. Calvin took Winners Dog all
three days, and Best of Winners 2 out of 3 days.
Abby, my Coby Flirt daughter took Winners Bitch all
three days and Best of Winners 1 day, She also
took Best Puppy and Best Puppy in Group, so we cleaned
up. Very nice weekend. Calvin just needs 1
more point for his Canadian Championship and Abby picked
up 4 points.
My new job is going very well, I am
truly enjoying the challenge and am so very glad I made
the decision to move to a new company. The people
are great, the company has a culture that is pretty easy
to integrate into and I'm very busy which I like.
I feel very fulfilled and challenged
Puppy Life is good. We have only
one puppy left from Poppy's litter and he is a very very
sweet boy, actually Doug's litter favourite, well maybe
after Alannah everyone loved Alannah. The Ella
Coby puppies are gorgeous, a bit of mom and dad in them.
Beautiful heads, some really nice coats and at least two
show potential in the litter - yup I'm repeating this
breeding.
I'm also very excited about the two next
litters, Taylor and Cuba. A line breeding on the
Coby side. Taylor has never ever failed to give me
gorgeous show puppies and Cuba is 10.5 lbs of gorgeous
coat and personality. Calvin (Coby son) was bred
to the first time with Holly so I'm excited to see how
they produce as well.
Spring is coming YIPPEEE
