Show News:
June and July were exciting months in the dog show world
for us. I sent Cuba to the US to get his Grand
Championship and he certainly did not disappoint us.
He finished the Grand Title in no time at all and along
the way took two Group 1's and a Group 4 placing him in
the top 25 US dogs in about 2 months of showing.
He will be at the US Nationals and we are hoping he does
well there.
I also started Julie in the ring, a Kensie/Coby daughter
and she did very well on her debut. Her first day
she was just a silly puppy not putting 4 feet on the
ground and just having fun. The second day she
settled down and took winners female for her first
points. She will also be coming to the Nationals
with me.
Our other bright star this month was Peter Pan (Peter)
He showed 3 days in Canada and won Best of Winners every
day, and in the US he took took 5 point majors and won
winners dog the next two times he was in the ring.
Unfortunately his mother was stupid and he was shown in
the wrong class so we actually lost 5 of his points but
he will make them back up easily. Peter will also
be going to the US Nationals.
The Vernon show was great as always. We love that
show, and I got to see family which was very nice.
Mykensie and Doug came and my sister showed her gorgeous
Irish Water Spaniel. Mykensie and my sister had a
good time going geo-caching. And Kensie
broke in the new trailer by delivering her litter of
puppies in the trailer while we were camping.
Puppy News:
Cuba had his first breeeding with my girl Izzy and I was
just thrilled with the litter. Out of 4 puppies it
was really difficult to select the pick of the litter,
they were all really nice perfect little puppies.
We finally selected two show candidates so now we just
need to see how they grown up. I will definetely
repeat this breeding.
Kensie and Coby had another gorgeous litter, but
unfortunately no girls for show, beautiful boys though
:-)
Tessa and Arti also had a very pretty litter of
chocolates. 4 pretty much solid chocolates and two
white (cream) chocolates.
