Breed Havanese in the US, The Havanese Canadian Specialty

Westminster.

temperament first. We do extensive health testing on all
our puppies and of course our parents. We back our dogs
with an outstanding health guarantee, and we breed some pretty
adorable puppies. We love our puppies, but we really like
our owners too, so we take our time to find the right fit of
puppy and owner and screen our owners carefully. We are
also win in the show ring a lot, and have some remarkable show
wins with our dogs so all our Havanese puppies actually do look
like a Havanese.

The Havanese Fanciers of Canada sponsored the
2011 Havanese Regional again this year at Tradex. We had a
great time, lots of great wins including Winners Bitch and Best
of Winners. Here is a picture of our prize table.

Cuba is a US champion and Canadian
Champion and now a US Grand Champion
US Nationals was
great, every dog we entered came home with a placement or
win. The Coby kids did just great, winning sweeps,
regionals and nationals placements. Coby grand-daughter
to best opp at the Nationals. Calvin took reserve
winners dog at the Regional's. Lots of fun!!

Coby kids continue to do really well. Izzy finished
her US and Canadian. Calvin also finished his US and
Canadian. Cuba
finished US in Sept/Oct and Canadian in Nov. Audrey
and Lacy also now Canadian Champions
Coby wins Best In Show Specialty at Canadian Nationals, Also
Wins BOB At the Toy Specialty and Also Took a Group Placement.
What a way to retire, this was his last show

Coby finished the 08 year
as Number 1 All Breed Havanese. Record holder
for the most Group 1's and still the only Havanese to have a
group placement at Westminster. He is now home and I'm
taking care of the enormous white coat. He's been home
4 days and washed 3. Not sure how long I will leave
him in coat LOL.

Artimis, Tux and Winnie - the flying Havanese
Coby (AM/CAN CH. BISS and
BIS Yup's
Cohiba Esplendido) did me proud at the Westminster Dog
Show in New York City. Coby won the breed and took a Group
III placement from the very very strong Toy Group.
Cohiba actually made
history at the Westminster Gardens by being the first Havanese
to ever receive a group placement from the Westminster Kennel
Club. Way to go Coby!!!!
I must say I'm so proud of
our boy and our handler David Stout. David and Cohiba are
just magical together - it was certainly a real treat to watch
them both in the ring.
First Canadian Show of the year and we
did just fine. Julie took Reserve one day and
Winners Bitch the next. My new little Coby son
Beattle took WD and a reserve, not bad for his very
first time in the ring.
Off to Westminster next week but just
for the progressive. I missed the entry for
Westminster - boy am I ticked about that!!
Dec Canadian show finished two of my
girls, Audrey and Lacey Taylor and Kensie daughters.
They both have their Canadian Championships now.
It has been a great year in the show ring
Canadian Nationals was great and Peter
is a two time winner at both US and Canadian Nationals.
He took BOW and during the show he also took Best Puppy
in show. He is now a Canadian Champion.
US Nationals was amazing. We not
only had a great time I needed an extra success for all
our ribbons and silver. Peter took Best of Winners
at the Nationals, and Best in Specialty Show Puppy.
Cuba took Award of Merit. Pita and Audrey won
their class. Every dog we took won a placement in
both Regional's and Nationals and Sweeps. Amazing
recognition of Coby's breedings.
Cuba is now a Grand Champion and has
two group 1st and one group 4 in the 2 months he has
been showing. He has won breed many times this
past month.
