Ella and Cedrik
The Ella Story. Ella was due on May 28th and she
actually delivered on May 28th. Right on time and
a nice afternoon litter. She started about 3:00
and finished at 5:00. Ella only gave us three
puppies her last breeding, and her mom Gem only gave us
2, 3, and 4 on her three litters. Our expectations
were a small litter as this tends to be somewhat
genetic. Well she sure surprised us. She was
big so I though 4 and secretly was really hoping for 5.
She delivered the puppies with no problem at all, We had
5 beautiful puppies. I fed her, walked her and
then let her settle with her puppies for a little while.
I came back into the room and moved a puppy and saw a
puppy in the sack lying under her back leg. Puppy
number six came out without Ella making a sound. I
nearly had a heart attack but he was just fine.
All the puppies are doing just great.
